Flying Dash Tops Virginia Derby Lineup

Fusao Sekiguchi's Flying Dash was installed as the 7-5 morning line favorite when seven horses were entered for Saturday's $500,000 Virginia Derby at Colonial Downs. The German import won the Transylvania Stakes at Keeneland in his North American debut and then followed with an impressive performance in the grade III Hawthorne Derby. will be ridden by Victor Espinoza for trainer Neil Drysdale.The Virginia Derby has also attracted Orchard Park, who defeated Mr. Mellon in the $250,000 Jefferson Cup (Gr. III) at Churchill Downs.
