New Phoenix Stable's Sarava, who upset War Emblem's Triple Crown bid in the Belmont Stakes, breezed five furlongs in 1:00.80 Saturday at Churchill Downs
The Wild Again colt, who will make his next start Aug. 4 in either in the $1 million Haskell Invitational at Monmouth or the $500,000 Jim Dandy at Saratoga, was worked by jockey Jose Martinez, Jr.
"He's getting better," said trainer Ken McPeek. "We're real excited about him. We want to get a nice solid race into him in early August and then I think we'd have a great shot at the Travers (Aug. 24)."
