The California Horse Racing Board begins filming for two videos it hopes will take the mystery out of post-race testing while assuring fans and horsemen of the sport's integrity. The plan is for the videos to detail the steps taken to test samples from racehorses in California. One is targeted to the general public and horsemen, while the other has a more scientific approach for racing chemists and regulators.

The focus of the films are procedures at the Kenneth L. Maddy Equine Analytical Chemistry Laboratory at the University of California in Davis. Two accomplished filmmakers are in charge of collecting footage for the project, and will hopefully include interviews with stewards, veterinarians, and investigators to give a complete view of testing and monitoring procedures.

The videos are scheduled for completion by the end of the year. Frank Stronach responded to CHRB chairman Alan Landsburg's call for financial backing for the project and is listed as its financier.
