Trainer Bob Baffert, who has accounted for winners of the last four runnings of the Del Mar Futurity, is represented by three of the nine 2-year-olds entered in Wednesday's renewal. The Futurity is the feature on Del Mar's closing-day card.
Baffert's trio is headed by Best Pal Stakes (gr. III) winner Flame Thrower, with Graduation Stakes winner Arabian Light and Glorious Bid also entered by the white-haired trainer. Also in the field for the seven-furlong grade II test is Street Cry, a Godolphin Racing juvenile trained by former Baffert assistant Eoin Harty. The rest of the field consists of Learing at Kathy, Meetyouathebrig, Revelling, High Cascade, and Squirtle Squirt.
