First crop sire Confide was represented by his first winner Friday when Texas-bred Confiding Winner went wire-to-wire to win a maiden race at Lone Star Park. The 2-year-old filly completed the 5 1/2 furlongs in 1:05.56 to win by 6 3/4 lengths. Leprechaun Racing & Martin Racing Stable LLC's Confiding Winner was bred by Ro Parra and is trained by Steve Asmussen.

Confide won five of 13 career starts, including a pair of grade III races early in his 3-year-old season – the Spectacular Bid and Swale Stakes. The $230,766 earner retired after finishing second in the Comet Stakes in his 4-year-old debut.
