Scuderia Rencati's Falbrav stormed by Godolphin's Narrative in the stretch to win Sunday's Gran Premio di Milano (Ity-I) at San Siro in Milan, Italy. Under Dario Vargiu, Falbrav completed the 1 1/2 miles in 2:24.90 on firm turf, finishing three lengths ahead of Narrative.

Narrative built a six-length lead with three furlongs to run as Frankie Dettori attempted to steal the race on the front end. Falbrav began to close in on the leader and swept by inside the final furlong to notch the win. Grary Tanaka's Hawkeye finished third, seven lengths behind Narrative. American-bred Jeune Dream came home fourth, followed by Sabiango, Snetterton, and Einstein.

Irish-bred Falbrav (Fairy King -- Gift of the Night, by Slewpy) is trained by Luciano D'Auria. Falbrav remained unbeaten as a 4-year-old with the win. Last year, he finished second in the Italiano Derby (Ity-I) won by Morshdi.
