Came Home Set for Affirmed After Sharp Work

Kentucky Derby (gr. I) sixth-place finisher Came Home will return to the races June 23 at Hollywood Park in the Affirmed Stakes (gr. III), the final local prep for the $500,000 Swaps Stakes (gr. II) on July 14.
Chris McCarron will ride the son of Gone West in the 1 1/16-mile Affirmed. The Paco Gonzalez trainee worked six furlongs in 1:11 4/5 Wednesday at Santa Anita.
Others pointing for the Affirmed include Laz Barrera Memorial Stakes runners Fonz's (Victor Espinoza to ride) and Kamsack (Kent Desormeaux) and Lone Star Derby runner-up Tracemark (Alex Solis).
