War Emblem, will be rested at a California farm.
Kentucky Derby and Preakness Stakes winner War Emblem will be given some time off, according to Richard Mulhall, the Thoroughbred Corp.'s general manager.

Mulhall said the 3-year-old son of War Emblem will fly to California Sunday with Habibti and both horses would then be given a break at his Bradbury Thoroughbred Farm.

Mulhall said both War Emblem and Habibti should return to the races this summer.

"We'll probably point War Emblem to the Haskell or Pacific Classic," said Mulhall.

Mulhall said they are trying to put some weight on Habibti, who will likely make her return during the Del Mar meet.
