Equality, winner of the Tampa Bay Derby (gr. III) added the June 11 Gleaming Stakes to his resume on Tuesday at Delaware Park. The 3-year-old homebred colt racing for Pin Oak Stud won the 8 1/2-furlong event by a length over Coco's Madness. The winner was also the 4-5 favorite and paid $3.60.

Equality, under Ramon Dominguez, lurked off the pace in fifth place for the first half-mile, then began his gradual move to the lead. After six furlongs he was just a neck behind leaders Coco's Madness and Root With Style, but by the stretch Equality was at the head of the pack. He covered the distance in 1:41.38. Josephine Abercrombie bred the son of Mt. Livermore and Equilibrate (by Gone West) at her Pin Oak Stud in Kentucky.
