Gold Fever, whose runners have earned $18 million, will stand at Lisa Duoos’ Dove Hill Farm near Farmington, Minn. He was acquired by Team J&K.

A New York grade I winner, Gold Fever has sired 34 runners that have won or placed in stakes. They include four-time Canadian champion A Bit O’Gold; millionaire sprinter Gold Mover, who won or placed in 25 stakes, and major Canadian winner Arco’s Gold. His progeny earnings of about $930,000 this year will place him first on Minnesota’s leading sires list.

Gold Fever, whose big win came in the NYRA Mile Handicap (gr. I), is by Forty Niner out of the graded stakes-winning Majestic Light mare Lead Kindly Light. His 2009 fee is $2,850.

Fifteen-year-old Gold Fever formerly stood at Questroyal Stud near New  Hampton, N.Y.
