Trio of Colts Post Quick Barretts Work

Colts by Lion Heart, Cactus Ridge, and City Place, tied for the fastest 1/8-mile work when they stopped the timer in :9 4/5 May 9 during the second session for the under tack show for the Barretts May sale of 2-year-olds in training.
The three colts equaled the times of colts by Gimmeawink and Not For Love for the same distance at the May 8 session.
Produced from the Tom Rolfe mare Rokeby Rose, the Lion Heart colt is consigned by Havens Bloodstock, agent. The Cactus Ridge colt, which is out of the Mt. Livermore mare Sweet Emma, is consigned by BC3 Thoroughbreds, agent, while the City Place colt is out of the Odyle mare Brooks N Boots and consigned by Hartley/De Renzo Thoroughbreds.
The fastest 1/4-mile work was recorded by a Songandaprayer colt out of the Boston Harbor mare Sydney’s Kiss, who stopped the timer in :21 2/5. The colt is also from the consignment of Hartley/De Renzo Thoroughbreds.

The Barretts auction of 329 2-year-olds will be held May 13 in the Hinds Pavilion, located on the grounds of Fairplex Park in Pomona, Calif. at 11:00 a.m. (PDT)
